~* Find the Fireworks/Sparklers preview page Here = complete with all Fireworks/Sparklers file Downloads

*~ do not copy/paste from page examples

    ~* 'Starhound.ttf'

~*  'Freestyle Script.ttf' (sorry..  can't find a free download for this font!  .. use a suitable Script font of Your Choice)

~* Copy this pattern = Open at PSP, minimize :

~* There are Two files here.. of the Girls

  • One is Colored Red White & Blue
  • The Other is an Outline with White accents = you can color her (see box, below)  for your Country's Colors.. or whatever the occasion

  • Add a new raster layer and drag it below the Girl-Outline
  • Magic Wand outside Girl-Outline
  • Invert
  • Selections > Modify > Contract by 2
  • Highlight the new layer, underneath
  • Color/Paint with your paintbrush, etc.
  • Merge Visible

1.

My Canvas size = 500 X 200  ..  you'll want to adjust the length for your text

  • Fill with Gradient = Foreground-Background

2.

  • Maximize your canvas

  • Add a New Raster layer
  • Change the layer palette Blend Mode to 'Dissolve'

  • Open your Airbrush tool > Color - White
  • these settings :

  • Center at the corner > Click ..  hold Shift, center at opposite corner and Click
  • Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise :

Here's mine :

3.

  • Add a New Raster layer

  • Selection Tool or Preset Shape > Rectangle
  • Draw out a narrow rectangle the length of your canvas
  • Fill with
  • Flood Fill Opacity set at 50%
  • Select None

Duplicate the rectangle and move each so that they overlap somewhat :

Merge visible

5.

Open text tool = 'create as Vector'

  • I used 'Starhound.ttf' ..  Stroke width = 2
  • Outline color I used = I used #0184F3
  • Pattern fill 'red stripe'

  • I used the Vector nodes to shape my text at the canvas
  • added a slight Drop Shadow for some dimension

  • for 'celebrate!' ..  I used 'Freestyle script.ttf'
  • Foreground > null   ..   Background > White

Merge Visible > Copy

6.

Open Animation Shop

  • Paste as a New Animation
  • Duplicate
  • Select Frame #2

  • Animation > Insert Frames > Empty :

You'll have a total of 24 frames - ready for the animations.

**If your name/text has 6 or more letters - you may want to consider adding more frames..say 6 more for a total of 30..

  • Edit > Select All
  • Edit > Propagate Paste

7.

Open 'raeCthruSparklerTipSm' {#14.zip}:

  • Edit > Select All
  • Edit > Copy

  • Right Click at your 24 frames > Paste into Selected Frame = making the exclamation mark into a sparkler

8.

We'll make a 'trail of fireworks' through the dominant portion of your text :

Browse to Open 'raeBurstWhiteSmallMulti' {#7.zip}

  • Edit > Select All

Move to your 24 Frames :

  • Select Frame #1 > Hold Shift > Select Frame #6  **all 6 frames will be selected
  • Plan out a path, through your text, for the upcoming animations. Click the the frames > Holding Shift.. in the order shown.. pasting in the same firework animation.
  • Here's mine :

**if you've added frames - for this animation through your text = select more frames in the order shown. If you added 6 frames (30 frames total) you'd select 7-12 ..  etc. for each 6 Added frames

9.

Now we'll make the 'Finale' at the second portion of text.

Browse to Open 'raeBurstWhiteSmall' {#6.zip}:

  • Edit > Select All
  • Edit > Copy
  • Click into the frame without added fireworks.  In my example, it's Frame #7
  • Hold Shift  > scroll to and click Frame #12
  • Paste into one or three places at your text (not TOO many places ..)

  • Click frame #8..  Hold Shift..  Click frame #13
  • paste into two/three places
  • ..etc..  frame #9 - 14
  • frame #10 - 15
  • frame #11 - 16
  • frame #12 - 17
  • frame #13 - 18
  • **you don't want to have, at this point, any fireworks in your last 6 frames

10.

Now..copy again - the 'raeBurstWhiteSmallMulti {#7.zip} :

  • select frame #8 .. Hold Shift..  Click frame #13
  • paste in once or twice
  • move through the frames, above.. pasting in 1 - 3 times (less is more  )

Open  'raeRedWhiBluFWork' {#2.zip} :

  • Edit > Select All
  • Edit > Copy

Select Frame #23 > Hold Shift > Select Frame #12

  • Paste into Selected Frame once or twice - among the small bursts

Select Frame # 22 > Hold Shift > Select Frame #11

  • Paste into Selected Frame two or three times - among the small bursts

Now.. Open another firework file = I chose 'raeMultiWhite' {#5.zip} :
  • Select Frame #23 > Hold Shift > Select Frame #12
  • Paste into Selected Frame = at each Text letter..
  • **if you used Starhound.ttf..  paste into each Star

11.

Now.. we need to set the Frame Speeds .. these fireworks look best at a fast rate :

  • Edit > Select All

  • Animation > Frame Properties > Display Time = 6

For the larger animation = with the girl holding Sparklers..

  • Start with a larger canvas..  flood with the gradient and make the stars.. etc
  • Paste in the patriotic girl = or paste in one you've colored

  • AS = paste into all frames > both 'raesparklersEmbers' = either version **I made them so they aren't exactly the same.. ember-falling-wise
  • paste the 'glow' into all frames

  • add whatever combo of fireworks into the sky

  • the frame speeds should be 6
  • the Optimization is the same, as above
