1. At PSP > Select the 'supplyLayers.psp'
-
Highlight 'Birds' layer > Add a New Raster Layer - name 'Fill'
-

Before you proceed with text - you can add a background color *on it's own
layer* to better see your text outline. Whatever color you choose is
unimportant (*don't use White) - you can change it later
At the 'Fill' layer > Open Text Tool / Create as Vector *it will make
it's own layer / font='Avondale SC Shaded' :
**make sure to adjust the kerning as shown - to move letters close together

Enter your text ALL CAPS
-
If necessary - adjust the width with the vector nodes
-
-
Convert to raster
-
-
Remain at text layer
2. Open your Magic Wand :
-
Select outside your text / into the empty background
-
Hold Shift key Select any areas between your text letters that didn't
include with your initial selection
-
-
Selections > Invert *your Text Only should be surrounded by the active
selection
-
Selections > Modify > Contract by 1
-
-
Highlight the 'Fill' layer
-
Floodfill each letter with the Trellis Pattern :
-
Select None
-
-
Turn OFF all layers but your Text and Fill
-
Merge Visible
-
Turn all layers ON
3. Now you will want to decide upon the
birds/bears/beehive/birdhouse **the bears/birds, here, are for a guide - you'll
delete them before moving to AS
-
DELETE the layers you choose not to use in your tag
-
-
Move your image layer choices into position with each other on the canvas
*set your bears/birds at the top line of the fence
4. Highlight your bottom layer/LayerPalette > Open Preset
Shapes Tool / 'Heart' shape :

if you don't have the Heart Shape - Open the 'Heart' in Supply Folder > File
> Export to = Shape .. Name it > OK |

Draw a heart around your birds/bears with the following settings :
-
Duplicate the Heart /Vector layer
-
-
At 'Copy of' > Open your Pen Tool >
Click the vector heart *it will show red vector editing nodes
-
Change the color at Materials palette to White and that Heart vector
will become White **yes, you could convert to raster, select all/Float
and Floodfill - I wanted to show you another way to change color at a vector
(as well, you can change the line width)

Open your Mover Tool *be sure to have your 'copy of' vector (white heart)
highlighted
-
-
At your Directional Arrow Keys / Keyboard :
-
Click the Down Arrow 2 times
-
Click the Left Arrow 2 times

PSP 8 = to use Directional Arrow keys - Open your
Deformation Tool other than the Mover Tool
|

Turn OFF all layers but the two vector hearts
-
Merge Visible
-
-
Duplicate the merged Hearts
-
-
Open Mover Tool > Hold Shift > Click into the canvas
-
Continue holding Shift > Directional Arrow key Down 2 times
-
-
Merge Visible
Open your Magic Wand :
-
Selections > Invert
- Selections
> Modify > Contract by 1
-
-
While selection is Active > Highlight your bottom layer/Layer Palette > Add
a New Raster Layer
-
Flood Fill with the Trellis Pattern **I changed the Scale to 80
-
-
Select None
-
Merge Visible
-
-
Turn all layers ON
5. Open your Selection Tool :
-
Heart layer > select out the portion of the heart that extends behind your
text > delete
**or with the Lasso Tool - especially if you need to cut out an area as
shown - then Delete
-
Select None
-
- Turn OFF the
birds/bears guide layer
-
-
Merge Visible the remaining layers >Rename to 'Text'
-
Turn guide layer ON
6. Now it's time to decorate your trellis
-
Choose your flowers > With the Lasso Tool - Select out one portion > Copy
-
-
Highlight your 'Text' layer /layer Palette
-
-
Add a New Raster Layer - name it 'Flowers' >
Paste as a New Selection
-
-
Continue selecting out what flowers you want from the floral image canvas >
Paste as a New Selection
-
-
After each is pasted and Active > you may move it and/or Image > Mirror/Flip
-
-
When you have all your flowers postioned > Select None
7. We'll add a drop shadow and a background color
-
Highlight the Flowers layer > Drop Shadow :
-
Highlight the 'Text' layer > Drop Shadow - same settings
8. Now add a New Raster layer and drag it to the bottom of
the palette
-
Choose a background color and Flood Fill
-

if you'd like to polka dot your background - as in my opening tag : -
After Flood-Filling with your background color
-
Flood Fill again (same layer) with 'PolkaDot Pattern'
**when you Crop - take care not to cut into the polka dots ...yes, I'm
anal  |
-
Open your Crop Tool > crop to your satisfaction
9. Before we add a trellis frame :
-
Highlight your Flowers layer
-
If you have placed a flower accent at the middle of the heart, you'll need
to separate it, at this time *so it won't be overtop your hug-hearts when
assembling the animation:
-
Open your Lasso Tool > draw a selection around it
-
Left click into the selection so the active selection surrounds to the drop
shadow edges
-
-
Layer Palette / Floating Selection > Right click = Promote Selection to
Layer
-
-
Select None
-
-
Highlight the initial Flowers layer > Copy
-
Open Animation Shop > Paste as a New Animation > return to PSP
-
-
Turn OFF or DELETE the birds/bears layer
-
-
Image > Add Borders
-
Repeat the above > same settings > Change color to White
-
-
Repeat > Change settings # to 6 > Change color to your
background color (at your tag)
-
-
Open Magic Wand > Select the border * the one with your background color
-
-
Flood Fill with the Trellis Pattern > new settings :
-
Select None
-
-
Add Borders > change # to 2 > Change color to
#CECEC3 *click
into your text fill to easily switch color
-
Repeat > same settings > Change color to White
-
Repeat > Change # to 1 > Change color to
#CECEC3
-
-
Add New Raster Layer > Lasso out flower accents from the supplied
images and decorate your frame
-
Select None
-
-
Copy
-
-
Animation Shop > Paste as a New Animation
10. Almost finished! Remain at Animation Shop :
-
Duplicate to 18 frames
-
Edit > Select All
-
Edit > Propagate Paste
Browse to Open your Birds or Bears psp.image :
-
Edit > Select All
-
Edit > Copy
Right Click at your tag frames > Paste into Selected Frame
-
Position and click to place into frame
Copy the frame with your flower accents
-
Right Click at your tag frames > Paste into Selected Frame
-
Position and click to place them
Now! all that is left for you to do is set the animation frame speeds
*they're default speed 10 - change the following frames :
-
Select Frame #1 :
-
Animation > Frame Properties > Display Time = 70
-
-
Left click Frame #2 > Hold Shift
> Scroll to Frame #9 > Left
click to select that series of frames
-
Animation > Frame Properties > Display Time = 20
-
-
Left click Frame #17
-
Animation > Frame Properties > Display Time = 70

Now all that is left is to Optimize.. here are my settings at the Optimization
Wizard / Colors tab
At Optimizations tab = I checked everything
You're finished.. or! .. you can make another and use different flower
accents and a different 'love pair'.
