1.

PSP ~  open your Dude

*Notice that it is a very long canvas and only one layer is turned ON.  You have plenty of room to build your text ..please wait till later to perform a Crop.

 

Highlight Frame #01 :

  • Add a New Raster layer = named 'Text'

  • Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection from Disc = Locate your 'Initial'

  

..your Initial will appear at your canvas :

 

  • Flood Fill it with = White
  • Select None

 


2.

~ At Same Text layer :

  • Open Text Tool :

 

  

  • Add the remainder of your text & position it
  • Select All > Float

 

Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout :

  • Numeric settings  *changing the colors - shown next

 

 

Now..If you want another color for your text :

  • leave the Vert/Horiz..Opacity/Blur numbers as they are
  • Enter the color codes, as shown above

 

Then = click into the 'Shadow color' window :

  • Leave the center color position where it is
  • Click around the Wheel to try a new hue

~original hue                ;               & nbsp;              &nb sp; ~new hue

    

  • Do the same with the 'Fill interior with color' window **as close as possible to the same position at the Color Wheel that you chose, above

~ Apply your Cutout

  • Select none

 


3.

Now, we'll make some 'balls' to sit in the cups of your letters :

 

~ Open your Preset Shapes Tool 

  • Elipse = Round

~ Materials palette

  • Foreground = Null
  • Background = White

 

  • Draw out a circle shape at each letter = but not at Your Initial
  •  
  • Use the Object Selector to adjust their position and size, etc.

 

~ When you are happy with your 'balls' :

  • Convert to Raster

 

~ Open your Selection Tool = Rectangle :

  • Surround one of your balls
  • > Float
  • Apply the Cutout ..select/change colors, as above

  • Surround another ball.. > Float
  • Apply Cutout and change color
  • ..and so on, for each ball

~ here's mine

  

  • Select None

 

 


4.

~ Turn OFF Frame #1 (*the 'dude') :

  • Merge Visible the text and balls
  • Rename to 'Text'
~ Duplicate the Text layer :
  • Rename to 'Text2'
  • Move the Text2 layer to overtop Frame #35
  • Turn OFF

~ Return to bottom of Layer Palette :

  • Turn ON Frame #1

 


5.

Now, we'll start the same licking away selections as we did in the 'Chocolate' version ..

 

~ Highlight the 'Text' layer

  • Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection from Disc = Locate 'lick' Selection :
  • it will automatically load at this position :

  

 

  • Keyboard = DELETE
  • *Keep Selection Active

  • DUPLICATE the 'Text' layer


Highlight and pull the 'Copy of Text' layer to above Frame #2

  • Drop the 'Copy of Text' layer Transparency to around 50 *so you can see the tongue = but remember to return it to full opacity
  • Turn ON Frame #2
  • Turn OFF 'Text' layer and Frame #1



~ Your 'Copy of Text' layer should be highlighted :

  • Open your Mover Tool
  • Right click/hold the click *anywhere on your canvas  

 

Move your Selection carefully, straight up, so that it is about halfway/two-thirds into the tongue and encompasses both sides of the tongue evenly

   

  • Keyboard = DELETE
  • *Keep Selection Active

  • DUPLICATE the 'Text' layer


Highlight and pull the 'Copy(2) of Text' layer to above Frame #3

  • Drop the 'Copy(2) of Text' layer Transparency to around 50 *so you can see the tongue
  • Turn ON Frame #3
  • Turn OFF 'Copy of Text' layer and Frame #2



~ Your 'Copy(2) of Text' layer should be highlighted :

  • Open your Mover Tool
  • Right click/hold the click *anywhere on your canvas 

 

Repeat these steps up to and including = your text above Frame #16

  • *Make sure to move your Selection at each
  • At text selection, above Frame #16 = place the Selection to remove every bit from the tongue :

 

  • Select none

 


6.

~ Turn OFF Frame #16 and the Text copy overtop

  • Highlight the Text Copy layer
  • Duplicate = pull up Layer Palette to overtop Frame #17

  • Duplicate = pull up over Frame #18

~ Continue duplicating/pulling overtop Frames > to and including Frame #38

 


7.

~ You will have two text layers overtop Frame #35 : 

*turn ON #35, now, so you can find your way back, easily, through all these layers

 

  • Highlight ' Text2
  • Duplicate
  • Move overtop Frame #36

~ Continue duplicating/pulling overtop Frames > to and including Frame #48

 


8.

~ Return to Frame #35 :

  • Lower the Opacity level for 'Text2' layer to approximately 20

~ Above Frame #36 :

  • Lower the Opacity level for 'Copy of Text2' layer to approximately 40

~ Above Frame #37 :

  • Lower the Opacity level for 'Copy(2) of Text2' layer to approximately 60

~ Above Frame #38 :

  • Lower the Opacity level for 'Copy(3) of Text2' layer to approximately 80

 


9.

~ Turn OFF Frame #35  *in fact, ALL layers should be OFF

 

Move to the very bottom of your Layer Palette 

  • Turn ON Frame #1
  • Turn ON the text layer overtop

  • Merge Visible

  • Turn Merged layer OFF

~ Continue to Frame #2 and the text layer overtop

  • Turn ON both
  • Merge Visible
  • Turn OFF the Merge

~ Repeat this action up the Layer Palette = remembering to Merge Frames with 2 text layers at Frame #35 and through Frame #38

 

Once you've reached the top and have all merged layers :

  • Turn ALL layers ON
  • Save as a PSP Image  ..  and Open Animation Shop

 


10.

Almost finished ..  Ü

 

~ Browse to open your psp image :

  • Edit > Select All

~ Browse to open the 'bouncingBall' from Supply :

  • Edit > Select All
  • Edit > Copy

 

~ At your 'dude' frames :

  • Right click > Paste Into Selected Frame
  • Position the Ball into your Initial letter cup = click again to set

 

 


11.

 

Now, we'll Crop ~  Click the Crop Tool :

    : Click the 'Options' button 

    : Choose 'Surround the opaque area ..OK'

   

: double-click inside your crop area at your frames .. or.. Click the 'Crop' button

 


12.

~ Set the Frames Speed :  *grab your 'Pointer'

  • All frames should be selected
  • Right Click > Frame Properties = Frame Display time at 7

 

~ Add a Background color  *it'll save kb's/filesize and loading time

  • Right click > Animation Properties > Opaque = White

File > Optimization Wizard ..  at these tabs:
